When you visit our kitchen, you're in for a treat.

Jaime Holt, Kitchen Manager, prepares Shabbat dinner.

Shabbat services and dinner are hosted weekly with student-led services at 5:30 PM and dinner at 6 pm. In our industrial Kosher kitchen, our Kitchen Manager, Jaime Holt, works with students every week on making incredible Shabbat dinners. All Iowa students are welcome, regardless of religion, to come to pray, eat, and socialize.

Hillel's Kitchen is the perfect destination for the end of a long week or the start of your weekend! Whether you're running from work or school or just need Friday night dinner plans, we serve dinner every week to start Shabbat and a full meal service during Passover and other holidays.

Some of our favorite Shabbat dinners are mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, meatball subs, skirt steak and falafel, and risotto. Each week we switch off between dairy and meat meals and every meal has an abundance of gluten-free and vegan options.
