Finals Week Relaxation

Hillel will be hosting a “Week of Wellness and Relaxation” during the 13th, 14th, and 15th of May to help you combat exam stress and fatigue. We will have a guided imagery meditation class as well as a yoga class.
On Thursday, May 15th everyone is welcome to come in for a free massage by a La James professional.
You must RSVP though for a slot between 3 and 5 PM.

May 13: “Guided Imagery Meditation” with Keila Naparstek Wednesday, 7-8 PM

May 14: Yoga @ Hillel, Thursday 5:30- 6:30 PM. Jen, a licensed yoga instructor and yoga (yes, Hillel has yoga mats). Free!

First & Second Year Modern Hebrew @UI

048:101:SCA First Year Modern Hebrew I, Time & Location: 3:30P - 4:20P MTThF 201 BCSB, 4 s.h
This is the first semester of a two semester course for beginning
students. The course will cover the basics of Modern Hebrew in writing,
reading and conversation. Course topics will include introduction to the
Aleph-Bet, sounds, vocabularies, grammar, text reading, translation and
speaking.
048:111:SCA Second Year Hebrew I, Time & Location: 5:30P - 6:35P TThF 216 EPB, 4 s.h.
This is the first semester of a two semester course for intermediate
and advanced Hebrew students. The coursework will include more practice
in writing, reading and conversational skills. The course will deal with
advanced issues in grammar, intensive vocabulary building and word
usage, text reading and analysis, translation, and speaking.



Cooking Classes with Master Chefs

This Spring, Hillel will host cooking classes featuring multi-ethnic Jewish food. The class will be taught by a variety of renowned chefs from the Iowa City area.
